Franklin High Senior Luke Kennard made Ohio sports history on Friday when he scored 44 points and passed the King on the Ohio High School Sports scoring list with 4,652 points.  The Duke commit who is averaging 38.8 points a game, also had 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the 90-64 victory.

"I'm not a LeBron or anything," Kennard said before the game. "Not even close. But to be in that same category, I'm really blessed to have that opportunity."

Not only is he "in the same category" but Kennard is a product of LeBron's AAU team.

"He's good," James said on Thursday when told about Kennard and the record on Thursday "He's one of my kids. That's great. I'm happy for him."

But LeBron also mentioned that Kennard will fall short of a few other things James accomplished in high school.

“He’s not coming up on my assists record or my wins in state championships.”
