Macklemore texted Kendrick after the results with an sincere apology about him being over looked at the Grammy. Even though the situation is wrong i cant say i didn’t see this coming. The Grammy’s is a prestigious award that very few artist can win. Not only does your music have to be great but you also have to fall into a certain criteria to be nominated. Your Music has to be diverse and unique to the culture of music. Kendrick Lamar is one of the best rapper of our time. But his style and lyrics may be to blunt for the Grammys. Although rap was made from hardcore metaphors and violent lyrics, Kendrick’s image and background is not praised by the Grammy’s. It Looks like Kendrick will have to do a little more work to get some respect. Some may say this decisions based on racial judgment and doesn’t have anything to with Kendrick’s talent. Do you Agree?
