Markelle Fultz Scores 23 in 21 Minutes, Wins MVP In FIBA Championship Game

Despite early foul trouble, incoming Washington Huskies freshman Markell Fultz was still able to put up a team-high 23 points on 10 of 16 shooting, 5 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals in just 21 minutes during the USA U18 National team’s 99-84 championship win against Canada on Saturday.
For his efforts, Faultz got to bring home the FIBA Tournament MVP along with a gold medal.
“For me to get MVP means a lot to me, because there’s a lot of good players here,” Fultz said. “It’s truly and honor.”
The MVP averaged 14 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals during the 5-game tournament.
