The exciting news of the Maloofs selling the Sacramento Kings to a group that would relocate to the land of the Reign Man in Seattle has been getting hit with downers as complications keep arising including a rumor that the Maloofs wanting to retain some ownership and decision making.   There’s supposedly three interested parties – Mark Mastrov (owner of 24 hours fitness), Dale Carlsen (Sleep Train Mattress) and an unidentified group.

Ex Suns and current mayor of Sac Kevin Johnson has been searching for a local buyer to keep the unhappy team in cowbell country.  Kevin even joked with LeBron James at a charity dinner in Sacramento last Friday if he would buy the team.  King James owner of the Kings – sounds cool.

LeBron’s NBA debut came against the Kings and the 18 year old phenom had a NBA record 25 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.  The 25 points was the most ever for a prep-to-pro player in his debut.
