Nerlens Noel has put up some crazy numbers in his past few games and after 5 steals in a win against the injured Hawks last night, Noel is averaging 5 steals over his past 3 games. He also had 17 rebounds which made him the first rookie since Shaq to have a 11 points, 17 rebounds and 5 steals since Shaquille did it in 93.
Also like Shaq during his rookie season, Noel has been a beast in the shot blocking cat too. He’s had 5 games with 5 or more blocks including a career-high 9 in just 33 minutes against the Pacers.
Back to the win against the Hawks. The 76ers were down by 16 in this game and this marked the 2nd time in the past month they have comeback from 16 down to win a game.
“We’re a team that’s not going to lay down,” Noel said. “We’re going to come in and give it our all. We’re a team that’s going to play with high energy and just play hard.”
