It’s common for the employees of sports teams to offer celebrities “backstage” access so they can meet the players. It’s not common for them to do that with the owners of the team. Granted, Jay-Z is a minority owner as in he barely owns any of the team but he does own enough that David Stern slapped him with a $1million fine last November for mentioning LeBron & Wade’s name in “Empire State of Mind.”
