Search for Cory Jefferson on YouTube and one of the first videos that will pop up is a vid called “Cory Jefferson – athletic big man with NBA three point range.” True the Nets rookie is extremely athletic and yes he DOES have “range” but last night against Chicago that range was a little short…actually it wasn’t even close. The shot was so bad that it went viral instantly with many calling it the worst 3-point shot ever.

Is it the worst ever?  Kent Bazemore might disagree.

How about this by Patrick Beverly shot earlier in the year.

We don’t even have to leave the Nets to find a candidate. Watch Mirza Teletovic shoot 3 consecutive airballs.

But the award for worst airballs ever goes to Kobe Bryant because his came in an elimination game in the playoffs.

Luckily for that kid he bounced back pretty well and turned out to be a decent player.

Back to Cory. He finished the game with 4 points and 4 rebounds in 14 minutes and only made 2 of his 6 shots. The rest of the Nets didn’t do much better as they shot 33% for the game.

But you gotta give Cory props for being able to joke about the shot after the game.
