Here’s a little story about Andrew Pickwell.  I’m guessing you have never heard of the guy.  During the Charlotte Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown this summer, he was one of the many particpants that none of us have ever heard of.  We assumed that pro dunker Werm would get first place and everybody else would just fight for 2nd place by trying to do a windmill.   It didn’t take long for dunk legend Darryl Dawkins and our staff  to take notice of the local 6’1 white kid named Andrew Pickwell who started throwing down between the leg variations that Werm is known for.  Werm still won the contest (his 3rd Sprite win in 3 years) but Pick was the big story.

Here’s a new vid by Dunkademics showing Pick with a dunk that most of us have never even thought of doing.   If you were impressed with John Wall pulled off a behind the back dunk at last year’s All-Star weekend than you should love this.
