New King of the West Coast – Kendrick Lamar Will Be at 2012 Ballislife HS All-American Game
So what does Drake, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre & Ballislife all have in common? All five recognize Kendrick Lamar as the “New King of the West Coast” so it’s only fitting that the King of the West Coast be a special guest at the 2012 Ballislife High School All-American game which has an emphasis on the most talented West Coast ballers. Just like Lamar, these ballers will be future newsmakers with the potential to play at the pro level in the very near future.
Kendrick Lamar formerly known as K.Dot has been putting out underrated mixtape gems for years in particular 2010’s Overly Dedicated & last year’s Section 80 which was ranked #7 on Complex magazine’s Top 25 Best Albums of 2011. Besides Complex Mag, much of the rest of the world also took notice in 2011 as XXL put him on the Freshman cover and he made appearances on some high profile album releases from artists such as The Game, 9th Wonder, Tech N9ne and Drake. The biggest name to take notice was Dr Dre who recruited Lamar to appear on the 10 years in the making album Detox. In January, Lamar said the album was 90% finished.
In the meantime, be sure to catch Kendrick Lamar at the 2012 Ballislife High School All American Game on April 7th at Hope International University.
