The Hornets had two really good chances to beat the Bulls in regulation. With 2.4 seconds left on the clock, Kemba Walker got blocked by some guy named Paul Zipser – he’s actually a 2nd round pick, who had a pretty good game against the Cavs (bench) last week – giving the Bulls one last shot at a game-winner.
On the inbound play, Nicolas Batum intercepted the pass at half court and had about 1.7 seconds, with no defenders in his way, to make the game-winner. He pulled up a little early and attempted a jumper at the free throw line and missed.
That’s just how things were going for the Hornets on the night as they shot 33.3% from the field. They did pull off a W (thanks to the Hornets’ bench) in OT but here’s who bad the shooting was for Charlotte.
- Batum: 2-11 fg
- Walker: 4-15 fg
- MKG: 3-13 fg
- Frank the Tank: 4-14 fg
- Lamb: 3-11 fg
A few of the Bulls weren’t much better.
- Rondo: 1-7 fg
- Mirotic: 0-4 fg
- McDermott: 5-14 fg
- Zipser: 0-5 fg
