Nikola Mirotic couldn’t throw a rock in the ocean against the Cavs on Friday night but his defense in the final two minutes of the Bulls victory made every Bulls fan forget about him missing eight of his nine shots.
With a little more than two minutes left in regulation, Mirotic stole the ball from LeBron (eight turnovers) and then missed a 3-point shot. Less than a minute later, he redeemed himself by blocking a corner 3-pointer by Kyrie Irving and causing him to miss another as the shot clock expired.
Irving did make two more shots in the final minute but it was too little too late.
