If the 2016 Golden State Warriors lose to the Thunder in this playoff series, what’s a fair comparison for the Warriors’ season? The 2001 116 win Seattle Mariners? The 2007 almost perfect New England Patriots? Not really because neither was a defending championship team that just set the NBA record for wins with the Coach of the Year and unanimous MVP.
