It wasn’t exactly the Malice in the Palace with the Pacers’ Ron Artest and Pistons’ Ben Wallace but on Saturday night the Pacers’ Paul George and the Pistons’ Marcus Morris did a little pushing and shoving at the end of a game between the two rivals.
“It was just competition,” said a downplaying Paul George. “It was just the heat of the moment, playing hard and you’re going to have moments like that. There wasn’t much trash talking going on between me and him (leading up to that), it was just talking with our play.”
During George’s talk with Morris, George Hill came over and pushed Morris. A little jawing and finger pointing happened between them and then the refs, coaching staff and benches stepped in and separated everybody.
PAUL GEORGE’S PERFECT 4TH QUARTER
Before the silliness at the end of the 4th quarter, Paul George had a perfect quarter: He scored 21 straight points on 7 of 7 shooting for the Pacers and finished with 32 points and a season-high 14 rebounds.
