I hope Onyx is getting some of the royalties from Def Jam for their 1993 hit debut song “Slam” because that song has been and probably will always be used in commercials.
The latest to use it is Gatorade for Paul George’s debut commercial (if you don’t count the NBA fantasy commercial). The ad spot features the high flying star slamming while wasting a bunch of Gatorade to the sounds of the grimy bald headed rappers that are still making albums in case you were wondering.
If you have an issue with the overused song then just be thankful they didn’t use “360 slamming.”
