Paul Pierce once punched a ref and smiled after making a shot and wasn’t given a technical.

I talk about Paul Pierce the way some people like to talk about Chuck Norris.  Paul is “The Truth” and not because he’s a champion that has played his entire career with the same team which I really respect.  He’s the truth because you can make a Chuck Norris list about this guy.  He punched a ref,  battled Vince Carter in a high school dunk contest,  was stabbed 11 times in the face, neck and back and would later do equal harm to the LA Lakers, majored in Crime and Delinquency Studies which allowed him to later get along with KG and  he shared the ball with Antoine Walker for many years.

“My name is Shaquille O’Neal and Paul Pierce is the [expletive] truth. Quote me on that and don’t take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn’t know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth.” – Shaq”’
