On Wednesday, the blogging and twitter world of sports went crazy over the Zen Master joining Twitter.  It seemed like an odd communication medium choice for the philosophical 67 year old.   After his first tweet, many people were thinking maybe Tweeting 140 characters wasn’t for the author of  six books.

21 hours and 23 thousand retweets later, via an AOL video, Phil Jackson revealed that the butter fingers tweet was intentional because he had a hard type typing with 11 rings on.

“Eleven Rings” is also the name of his new book coming out May 21st.   So Phil wasn’t drunk. He wasn’t struggling to use a smart phone.  He wasn’t anything anybody accused him of outside of just brilliant.
