Down by 6 with a second left before half-time, Rajon Rondo caused the Kings to pick up a game-delay tech for refusing to pick up the ball. KD shoots a free throw and the lead for OKC is now 7. Then, believe or not, Rondo does it again, which leads to another tech and free throw.
If you are wondering why Rondo wasn’t ejected, game delay techs go against the team, not the individual player. Rondo was on the verge of picking up a tech when he went after the ref but ironically, DeMarcus Cousins grabbed him like a pissed off Mom and pulled Rondo away.
Later in the loss for the Kings, Cousins picked up his 14th tech of the season, which is 4 more than any other player in the league.
On the positive side, if you played the two upset Kings star in your daily fantasy league, you were probably happy. Boogie had a game-high 35 points to go with 12 boards and Rondo flirted with another triple double (11/12/9 with 2 steals).
