During Thursday’s win over the Knicks, Rajon Rondo flirted with another triple double (16 points, 12 assists, 9 rebounds) and reminded Carmelo Anthony and his teammates that he can still get up and throw down like he did in his Boston days.
“It surprised me,” coach George Karl said. “There’s no question that was a golden moment for him. That was kind of an announcement that he’s healthy and back.”
“I’ve been lifting,” Joked Rondo about the dunk that had Quincy Acy in shock. “I’ve been working on my body a lot. I’m not old. I just don’t dunk. I’m only 6 feet.”
The “not old” 6 footer also joked that it was his first dunk in 3 years and although he has dunked a few times in the past few seasons, it’s been a while since we have seen a Rondo poster.
Like in 2009 when he did this to Dwight Howard…
Or in 2010 on Chris Bosh…
Jason Maxiell too…
You get the point. If you want to see more of young Rondo’s best dunks then check out the video below his highlights from last night.
