Ramon Sessions did something that very few people have done in NBA history. He dunked on LeBron James.
Now he didn’t really dunk over LeBron, but he did dunk while Lebron contested it. Sessions took the ball on a fast break, and as he was getting close to the basket, LeBron does what he always does as he was setting up for the chase down block. Most point guards would lay the ball up, and LeBron usually smacks those shots against the backboard, but Sessions threw the ball down with force, and James wasn’t able to block it.
This was closer to a dunk by than a dunk on, but it wouldn’t be false to say that Ramon Sessions dunked on LeBron James.
Here’s a look at the approach.
This shot of the apex meeting shows how the split-second, bang-bang dunk was decided by a matter of inches.
