Rashard Lewis played 16 seasons in the NBA. He went from the last player in the green room of the 1998 NBA Draft to a rising Sonic to an overpaid Magic All-Star to a bargain deal Heat champion and in 2014 he was going to become Dirk’s backup in Dallas but his one-year deal was voided by the Mavs when they discovered he needed surgery on his right knee.

I’m not sure if we will be seeing him back on the court again, but in the meantime, let’s celebrate the Alief Elsik legend’s birthday by looking back at his basketball journey.
(UPDATE 2017: Rashard Lewis joined Ice Cube’s Big 3 league and has clearly been the best player in the league)
