Article via www.highschoolot.com : For the first time in 32 years, Ravenscroft’s boys basketball team won the state championship. Ravenscroft defeated Greensboro Day School on their home floor on Saturday, 64-52. The score lit up the scoreboard on Monday morning as the team cut down the nets. Senior captain and guard Madison Jones led the Ravens with 22 points on Saturday. For Jones, this championship has been a long time coming. “It feels so good to go out on top. We’ve been working at this for four years and to win it my senior year is special,” Jones said on Monday morning. Ravenscroft set a school record for wins in a season with 31, eclipsing the old mark of 29, set in 2003 and 2009. Gill and Jones both earned All-State honors.
