Ray Allen Updates + The Art of Shooting
If 39 year old Ray Allen returns for a 19th season, it looks like he will probably be joining LeBron in Cleveland. If the all-time leader in 3 pointers needed another sign that he should follow LeBron, Allen’s home in Coral Gables was broken into this weekend by a bunch of punk teens.
The police characterized the crime as a “silly prank” which upset Allen, his family and lawyer who released the following statement.
“The suggestion that anyone can unlawfully enter into someone’s locked home and then into an occupied bedroom in the middle of the night without consequences is unsettling, regardless of the stated or actual reason for such unlawful entry,” said a statement by Allen’s family.
“We are very fortunate that no one involved was physically harmed during this ordeal. Miami is our home and we are proud to be active members in this community. We pray that no one else has to endure this kind of intrusion on their home or their families’ safety. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own homes.”
I agree and thankfully nobody was hurt but hopefully the next statement we hear coming from Ray is about his future in the NBA…with the Cleveland Cavs.
Until he decides about his future, let’s enjoy the beauty of his shot with this ESPN flashback video: The Art of Shooting.
