The final month of 2017 has been a rough one for NBA refs. And one of the their biggest critics in the past week has been James Harden, who was called for consecutive offensive fouls in the final seconds of the Rockets meltdown against the Celtics.
On New Years Eve, one of the refs tried to make it up to The Beard by calling this ridiculous foul on rookie Josh Hart, when it was clearly Harden holding him and travelling.
Harden also made a living at the free throw line, making 17-of-21 before leaving in the fourth quarter with 40 points, 11 assists and one hamstring injury.
As for the Lakers rookie point guard not named Lonzo Ball (out with an injury), Hart scored a career-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting in the double OT loss. The 26 was three more than ROY candidate Kyle Kuzma and three less than #FreeJulius Randle.
