Reggie Miller was known as “The Knicks Killer” before May 7th of 1995. After that memorable day in NBA history, Miller became the most hated man in New York and that’s saying a lot.

Down by 6 with 18.7 seconds left in game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semi Finals, Reggie Miller scored 8 points in 9 seconds to give the Pacers a 107-105 victory.

“We were shell-shocked,” says former Knick Anthony Mason years later. “We went numb after his second three. We became totally disoriented. It was like a terrible nightmare that you couldn’t wake up from. I still think about it today. I can laugh about it now. I wasn’t laughing then, that’s for sure.”
