In the past week we have seen Giannis Antetokounmpo flirt with a quadruple-double, convert a Thunder fan into a Bucks fan with a block on Russell Westbrook and appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated. On Wednesday night, he went from fantasy basketball God and Greek Freak to Greek basketball God when he put up 27 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and a game-winning jumper against the Knicks at MSG.
“I was patient,” Giannis said. “I knew I could shoot the ball over the top of anybody, anytime. I know he is not going to block my shot, so I just wanted to make sure I take the last shot.”
The performance was so impressive a reporter actually called him a “Greek God” after the game and the local Greek community waited for him outside of MSG.
