Richard Jefferson is getting old. So old that the 33 year old took last Friday’s game off eventhough he wasn’t injured. That rest meant his legs were well rested for the Clippers on Saturday and for a split moment those legs thought they were back in 2003 and competing for a NBA championship when they helped Jefferson pull off a vintage reverse dunk over Jared Dudley.
The commentator mentioned how that play was a common sight at one time and not only will I agree, I’ll say he was one of the most underrated dunkers of the decade because of that time. Nike wouldn’t have put him in a commercial having a dunk off with Vince Carter if he wasn’t one of the best highflyers in the league.
