Ricky Rubio had a career high 11 blocks last season giving him 24 career blocks in 3 NBA seasons.  It also gives him a career average of 0.1 blocks a game so when a block does happen, it’s worth talking about.

In Spain’s win over Ukraine, the Timberwolves point guard who has no idea who he will be dishing assists to next season in Minny, had a block, a nice one too, and made the play even nicer by going coast-to-coast for the layup.

Also worth mentioning is it took Rubio 6 dribbles to get down the court.  The only reason that’s worth mentioning is because yesterday we saw the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and his 7’4 wingspan take 2 dribbles to go from one end to the other.
