So how embarrassing was Thursday night for the Rockets? They – with James Harden and Dwight Howard in the lineup – lost their 2nd game in a row to a Suns team that just lost 7 in a row. The loss puts the Rockets 1 and 1/2 games behind the Jazz for the final playoff spot with just 3 games left – thankfully for Houston, the next game is against the Kobe Farewell Tour.
If their was one play in the game that summed up the game and the season it’s Andrew Goudelock inbounding the ball off the ass of a just-poked-in-the-eye-bending-over-in-pain Josh Smith. Shout out to Goudelock for having the most memorable play on the team despite playing only 5 minutes and missing both of his field goals.
“It’s frustrating,” Harden said after the game. “Sums up our season.”
The cherry on top was losing on a night former Rocket Yao Ming was honored for being elected to the Hall of Fame.
