This shortened season seems like it’s going to be the year of the shorter players – point guards specifically.  Starting with the Chris Paul fiasco, we then had the will Deron & Dwight team up, Rubio proving his critics wrong,  Westbrook showing he would be the man in almost in any other city, Nash showing he’s still one of the best in the game while being one of the oldest, linsanity which i’m not even going to discuss and then you have Rondo who is showing that he is the one on the team with the big three.

Rondo has been putting up fantasy lover numbers all season but a mid January injury took him out of the news for a few weeks for the above names to take the headlines.  When he returned from his injury he’s been slowly putting up one good stat line to a bigger one leading to yesterday’s monster triple double of 32 points 10 rebs and 15assist.  Lin might be the story of the year, Rubio might be rookie of the year, Paul could end up MVP of the year but Rondo might be the best point guard of the year.
