You have Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson on the same team. Who do you want taking the last shot? How about Quick Draw Clutch McCaw!
Earlier in the week, Steve Kerr said rookie Patrick McCaw is going to make some big contributions to the Warriors. On Friday, McCaw did just that with 18 points off the bench, a team-high 4 3-pointers, including a deeeep 3 to force OT, and a game-winning runner to give the Warriors a 129-128 comeback victory.
If it wasn’t for McCaw’s clutch 3 at the end of regulation, we would be raving about the play of Nuggets rookie Jamal Murray, who had 16 points, 7 assists and hit a step-back 3 with 11 seconds in regulation. But this was McCaw’s night and from the way he’s been playing in the preseason, the Warriors seem like the right team for him; in 4 games he’s connected on 8 of 15 from 3 and in his first preseason game, he had 5 steals to go with 11 points and 4 dimes.
