Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol flirted with triple doubles while Derrick Rose took the Bulls to home base by scoring 13 of his 17 points in the 4th quarter in a 106-101 win over the Denver Nuggets.
“My mentality is not going to change,” Rose said. “I’m going to shoot the ball. I’m a scoring guard.”
The other scoring guard for the Bulls, Jimmy Butler, scored a game-high 26 but it was a defensive stat that really stood out. The Bulls as a team set a franchise record with 18 blocks behind Gasol’s career-high 9.
