Rudy Fernandez’s dunk on Dwight Howard during the 2008 Olympics remains one of my favorite International and Olympic dunks ever.  Due to a defensive gamble by Kobe, Rudy had a clear path to the rim with only Dwight Howard trailing.  Rudy got the dunk and the foul leaving Chris Paul to shrug his shoulders and shake his head at Kobe Bryant while Kobe was pushing the blame on Dwight.  Meanwhile Pau Gasol and Spain was enjoying the whole thing.

Spain also enjoys watching Sergio Rodriguez and Rudy Fernandez connect on alley-oops like this reverse oop against Italy as much as they probably hated watching their team lose a 15 point lead and the game in OT against Italy 86-81.

Hopefully Rudy will escape this loss without getting punched by a fan while heading to the team bus like he did back in March.
