After missing much of December, Rudy Gay was quietly having a nice 2017 – scoring 20+ in 4 out of the last 5 games – but during Wednesday’s heartbreaking loss to the Pacers, Gay suffered a likely season-ending injury. The Kings medical staff suspects it is a torn left Achilles tendon and if the MRI results come back positive, then Gay will have to miss the rest of the Kings mess of a season.
After the game, an emotional DeMarcus Cousins talked about Gay, watching a teammate get carried off the floor, learning to appreciate teammates more and finishing the season for Rudy.
