At the end of the first quarter between the Thunder and Spurs, Russell Westbrook hit Danny Green with a series of quick moves before driving in and hitting a layup.  The sick play pulled the Thunder within 4. Bu then things started to get ugly and to make a long story short – the Thunder lost by 39 and Westbrook finished with just 16 points and 7 assists.

“They just played harder than us,” Westbrook said. “We just wasn’t ready to play. Simple as that.”

Westbrook also had an amusing response to a reporter who asked about the Thunder’s recent “defensive issues.”

“Defensive issues carrying over? I’m confused; you didn’t say that when we won four games in a row,” responded Westbrook. “I’m just a little confused.”
