Congrats to everyone who wasn’t scared to draft Russell Westbrook in the first round of their fantasy draft this season. Congrats to everyone who continues to use him in daily fantasy leagues despite his price and the odds that he’s not going to continue to make history by racking up triple doubles and putting up 30+ points or getting 17 assists like he did last night.
Against the Heat, Westbrook had 12 points, 17 assists and 10 rebounds for his 10th triple double of the season and 8th since the All-Star break. He’s now averaging 32.4 points, 10.4 assists and 9.3 rebounds since February 1st which puts him in a class with Jordan and The Big O as the only players in NBA history to average 30/10/9 over a 20 game span.
As amazing as it is that Westbrook has pulled off 10 triple doubles in 31 games, it’s far from MJ’s record of doing it in 11.
