On Sunday, birthday boy Russell Westbrook became the 8th player in NBA history to reach 40 career triple-doubles by racking up 41 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds vs the Orlando Magic. Unfortunately for him, his former teammate Serge Ibaka came back to town and delivered him a 3rd straight home loss with a game-winning shot. Not exactly the birthday gift Westbrook was hoping for.
The Thunder had won their previous 20 games when Westbrook had a triple-double and are now 35-5 when he accomplishes one.
Westbrook on playing against Ibaka: "For me, it's normal. When I get on the floor I have no friends. Off the floor I'll talk to him."
