One of my career highlights was working on a failed project called the 3BA. No joke, 3BA was a full court 3 on 3 league that AC Green and Shawn Kemp were a part of. Kemp had a team in Seattle and was looking to get a team in Houston, TX. So me, Robert Barr (ex VP of Players for the Rockets), Robert Horry and his manager Kegis Smith met a few times with Kemp and the 3BA owners. The league never took off, we all lost money but my dinner conversations with the Reign Man made it worthwhile to me.
He had glory stories galore including dunking on everybody from legends to local kids in the park that would call him out when he would jog through the neighborhood. The video above is a sample of why conversations with Kemp are so great. In this video he explains the differences between dunks, slap-ins, alley oops, tomahawks, Blake Griffen and himself!
If you are a die hard Kemp fanatic like me then you will appreciate this video with some real rare live game footage
