When you have Kobe Bryant, the most clutch player in the game, on your team the smart thing to do as a coach is to get him the ball and say “shoot it!”  If you are a teammate, the smart thing to do is get out of his way.  If you are Kobe, the smart thing to do is get tunnel vision and go 1 on 5 if you have to and make the shot.  That would be the greedy or poor play of the day for most players but not in this case.  The other smart decision on Kobe’s part was to go for the tie and not the game winner.  The rule is go for the win at home and the tie on the road.
