Finding a talented rookie point guard is one thing but what’s really rare is to find a rookie point guard that plays smart at the NBA level. Most rookie of the year candidates that are guards want to attack the rim at full speed and force shots. The spectacular rookie Kyrie Irving who is on his way to this year’s rookie of the year is not one of them. Last night he lead the Cavs to a win over the three headed (sometimes 4) monster that is the OKC Thunder. His best play came in the 3rd when he split two defenders at the 3 point line , faked out another at the free throw line which drew a 4th defender and then made the nice pass to Ryan Hollins for the dunk. Butterfingers on Hollins almost ruined the play but thankfully he caught and dunked it and with that we thank you (a little Tosh.0 reference).
