On November 3rd 1948, The Chicago Tribune released a first run of newspapers saying “Dewey Defeats Truman” assuming Governor Thomas Dewey was going to win the 1948 election and beat Harry Truman.   Well, Truman won and proudly took pictures with the error headline and the rest is history.

NBATV and most of the world watching game 6 of the NBA finals thought the Spurs were going to be the NBA champs during the 4th quarter of that game but the Heat came back, then won game 7 and the rest is history.

Like the Chicago Tribune, the NBA had it’s Dewey moment when they aired a commercial to buy 2013 Spurs Championship gear and DVDs.  I’m sure LeBron would love to take a pic with that gear.
