Just as shocking as the out of nowhere news that the Spurs waived Stephen Jackson last week is today’s shocking out of nowhere news that they have signed Tracy McGrady!  The 33 year old joins fellow 1997 NBA draft pick, and almost Orlando Magic teammate, Tim Duncan after showing signs of new life over in China.

The Spurs play just 1 more game (Minny) and it’s not a fact yet that T-Mac will be on the playoff roster but I can’t imagine the Spurs signing him just to give him one last shot at a ring.  If he does play in the playoffs, there’s a chance that he will be facing his old team, the Houston Rockets, in the 1st round.

Minutes or not, I’m glad to see T-Mac back in the league.   In honor of his comeback with the Spurs let’s revisit his amazing comeback against the Spurs.
