As a Pistons’ fan, it sucked to see the Warriors beat them by 14 on Monday night. As a Stanley Johnson fan, it felt good to see the rookie show what he can do when given minutes. Stan the Man came off the bench and put up 20 points and 7 rebounds in a season-high 32 minutes. Not bad. He also broke out of his shooting slump and made 9 of 14 shots, was 2 of 4 from downtown and had 0 turnovers. Not bad at all.
Now let’s see him get some more pt because he’s not only “not that bad,” but he’s pretty damn good!
“Stanley played well, probably his best offensive game,” Van Gundy said. “I didn’t think he was as good defensively as he has been the last couple of games. But he had a good offensive game.”
