“Great coaching” joked Steve Kerr after his season debut and 122-110 win over the Pacers.

It was, but it was the great performance by a great player that the Pacers will probably give more credit to. Chef Curry had an unreal triple double – 2nd of the season and 7th of career – with 39 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in just 37 minutes. He was also on fire from beyond the 3-point line with 8 triples and 2 half court shots.

“Two fun shots,” Curry said of the half-court shots. “I hadn’t hit one in a while in a game from that far since Memphis last year. Funny that the first one went in and didn’t count, and then felt pretty confident in the second one just because I’d already done it once. Needed a little glass to help but it went in.”

The one that counted became the 6th 3 from 30+ feet this season. In the past 20 seasons, only former Warrior Gilbert Arenas has more with 8.
