Now this is just unacceptable. Steph Curry is 6’3 with a Pharrell hat on and 190 lbs after a Thanksgiving dinner. Dwight Howard is a 6’11, 275 lbs former slam dunk champion with the a body that belongs on the cover of Men’s Fitness. If you are Dwight, how do you let Steph Curry box you out and get an offensive board with 1 hand when you are down by 11 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals?
Dwight did gather a game-high 14 rebounds to go with 14 points but this missed play is as embarrassing as losing by 35 in your own city – that happened too.
“We just can’t quit on each other,” Howard said. “We’ve come too far. We’ve been through too many battles to just allow it to end like tonight … we’ve just got to man up.”
As for Curry, 3 of his 5 boards were offensive, but he didn’t need to spend much time in the paint because he was too busy going 7 of 9 from downtown.
