Steph Curry had just five points in the first half against the Blazers while Damian Lillard seemed like he was on his way to another 40+ game against the Warriors. Then the 3rd quarter happened and the Warriors not only doubled the output of the Blazers (41-20), Curry outscored the Blazers by himself (23-20).
“I’ve never seen anybody quite like him who can turn it on that quickly and turn a horrible game into a brilliant game,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “That’s what makes Steph who he is.”
Curry finished with a team-high 28 in 30 minutes as the Warriors went on to win 127-104.
“I told him he looked like Riley Curry in the first half and Steph Curry in the second half,” Kerr said.
Damian Lillard had a game-high 31 but his 2nd half play was also Riley Curry worthy.
