76ers rookie sensation and Eastern Conference Player of the Week Michael Carter-Williams started his NBA career playing against the Miami Heat, then facing off against John Wall, then Derrick Rose and last night he had the near impossible task of guarding Stephen Curry.  But last night’s result for Williams and Philly weren’t as good for them as their previous three.

The 76ers were handed their first loss of the season by ex Sixer Andre Iguodala, who had a career night from downtown, and Stephen Curry, who had his second career triple-double.   Williams scored 18 points but only connected on 4 of 17 shots, turned the ball over six times and never made one steal after debuting with a rookie record 9.  Steph Curry’s final stat line was 18 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds, 5 steals and 1 crossover on the rookie in just 29 minutes of action.

The 20 point blowout of Philly even allowed a 12 minute cameo of Jermaine O’Neal to happen but he left the game with as many points as he came in with.
