Steph Curry Gets Crossed, Continues Coldest Shooting Streak Of His Career
Steph Curry is going to want to forget Thursday’s game against the Bulls happened. Actually, I’m sure he would like to forget the past week.
Getting crossed is one thing but when you are the greatest 3-point shooter ever during the coldest shooting streak of your career, the last thing you want to see is a guy like Jerian Grant (no offense) bury his only three of the game after breaking your ankles.
Curry finished the game with 23 points and passed Kobe Bryant for 11th on the all-time 3-point list but missed 17 of his 27 shots and 9 of his 11 3-point attempts. He missed 7 of 9 in his last game and all 11 in the game before that! This gives him a 12.9% over his last three games and 12.9 can be rounded to 13 and if you reverse….never mind.
I’m not worried about Curry and if you remember earlier in the season when he went 0 for 10 against the Lakers, he followed that game up with 13 threes and made 24 from downtown over a three game stretch. So, don’t be surprised if this three game stretch is followed by an offensive explosion by Curry and the Warriors. But, the bigger issue is the Warriors without Kevin Durant. They have lost two in a row without him and only put up 87 points on Thursday. I hear people saying not to worry because this is the same team that won 73 games last season. That’s not true at all. The 73 win team had a better bench, were coming off a championship and media darlings. This team is coming off a 3-1 blown lead in the Finals, has been labeled villains since picking up KD and the only media story about their bench this season is a twitter beef between JaVale McGee and Shaq.
