Before Game 2, Adam Silver presented Stephen Curry with the 2014/15 NBA MVP trophy and for 1 quarter, Curry was playing like a MVP and scored or assisted on the 1st 7 field goals for the Warriors. But the real point guard story was Mike “One-Eyed Charlie” Conley who scored 22 points (8-12 fg) in his return and just 8 days after having surgery on his eye.
Steph “Two-Eyed” Curry finished the game with 19 points and was 7 of 19 from the field and 2 of 11 from 3.
“It’s obviously my first time experiencing as well as for my teammates,” Curry said. “You want to stay in the moment and kind of stay focused on what the task is during the game. But obviously with the extracurricular stuff with the MVP and all of that, the celebration, and just change of routine to lead up to a game, it’s different. I don’t know if that’s a huge reason why we lost or not.
“We’re not going to overreact to one bad shooting night,” said the MVP with these lovely women in his life.
