After last night’s 48 point performance by Russell Westbrook, the popular Westbrook or Steph Curry debate got heated again. Heated but not as hot as Steph Curry tonight when he outscored the Pelicans 28-26 in the 3rd quarter and finished the night with 53 points, 9 assists and 4 steals…in just 34 minutes!

“Everybody’s having fun,” said Curry who connected on 8 of 14 3-pointers. “I’m laughing at myself for taking the shot.”

The shot he’s referring to was a 31 foot shot over Anthony Davis that Curry called a “dumb shot that went in.”

When you have a shot like Steph Curry, I’m not sure any shot can be considered a dumb shot – especially when your confidence is at an all-time high.

“I’ve always had confidence,” said Curry. “You just get better as a player and try to take it to another level. So that’s what I’m trying to do this year. I’m blessed to be healthy. I’m feeling pretty energetic, pretty strong out there on the floor, playing free, just having fun, so usually good things happen when all that comes together.”

Good things are happening and not just for him as in individual.  The Warriors are off to a 3-0 start and look as dangerous, if not more, than they did last season.
