Steph Curry scores 37, helps Warriors rally from 26 to beat Celtics
The Boston Celtics had a 26 point lead in the 2nd quarter on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors had Stephen Curry who scored 37 points and hit 4 clutch free throws in the final minute to give Golden State a 5 point win.
“We didn’t want to be down 26,” Curry said. “It seemed like it was sluggish there in the first quarter. We had to be mentally tough to make it an interesting game and close out the half.”
It might have been a sluggish 1st quarter for the Warriors but Steph scored 14 of their 25 points and had 19 at the half.
“Twenty-whatever we were up in the first half felt like three to me,” Boston coach Brad Stevens said. “And 16 at halftime feels like two against those guys. They just come back so fast.”
The Warriors outscored Boston by 5 in the 3rd quarter where Curry did his best Harlem Globetrotters impersonation with Evan Turner.

This comeback win was the 2nd biggest for the franchise since 2000. The biggest was in 2013 when they came back from 27 down in the 3rd quarter against the Raptors. Curry had 27 points, 10 assists and 5 steals in that game.
